GUESS WHO'S BACKKKKKK.

Oh heyyyyyyy guys! Long time no see. I have actually really missed you.

Okay. Where do I actually even start here. My last blog was 3 years ago. Oh my gosh. I feel like I owe you guys some sort of explanation at least.

I know I am a waffler so I will try to keep this as short as possible.

So as you know I was pregnant with my first baby and pregnancy from start to finish was not my friend. From the constant sickness and tiredness in the beginning... to then becoming very round and not being able to get off the bed like a tortoise stuck on its shell alongside working full time...  I found it very difficult to use my brain to be honest. As the months went by... not blogging became something I was used to.

And then I started to worry about how we were going to afford this baby. Like they are CRAZY expensive and they poop and eat ALOT. Nappies and milk legit take over your life.

So I then decided to give my work from home business which I had been treating more like a hobby a lot more attention and there is just not enough hours in the day to do that and run a blog.

But a month or so ago... I finally admitted to myself that my business was not making me happy. I had been in denial for so long. I didn't want to give it up - I didn't want to look weak. And I had given up blogging which I truly loved and the business was actually making my anxiety worse (which I developed after Mason was born).

I had lost myself and that is the honest truth. It just took me a heck of a long time to realise. I now have NEW, BIGGER and BETTER dreams.

I want this blog to be successful. I am going to be more of an open book - Its been 3 years and I have a lot to tell. I also want to become a freelance Make Up Artist and I have been practicing so much already. Its all VERY exciting.

So yeah... Shall we get this baby rollin' again??? Lets do this.

Let me introduce my beautiful 2 year old son Mason.

In a nutshell... He loves mummy, daddy, Puddin (our dog), cars, ice cream, strawberries and outdoor adventures. He is the best thing that ever happened to me. He is my life. I love him.

Here are a few snaps from this weekends beach adventure. ADORABLE.

You wont believe what happened after this as well... My fabulous C1 decided to break down on the way back. And then the recovery truck also broke down on the way home. How does that actually happen. Only to me aha!

We have also just booked our first summer holiday. We fly on Mason's birthday this August - 2 weeks in Crete... Can't bloody wait! Feta cheese... GET IN MY BELLY.

So I have been getting my butt in the gym and cutting down on the prosecco. The struggle is real but I am SO determined to get back to my pre baby bod. I will be sharing some of the healthy recipes I have learnt and my favourite gym workouts in a future post. Watch this space.

So before I love and leave you until my next post... I thought I would share with you my latest beauty purchase and a super cool trick showing you how to apply eye shadow to make your eye space appear much bigger. Its mighty handy for those hooded eyes that a lot of us suffer with.

Here it is. Morphe's Jaclyn Hill Eye Shadow Palette.  It is an absolute beaut.

I used to be seriously scared of eye shadow. Like more than ghosts. I barely used it. I just didn't have a clue how to apply it and I always thought that because my eye space is quite small I would be doomed forever. Gosh I was wrong.

There are SO many ways to apply eye shadow - To suit all eye shapes. So don't be put off. You can really have so much fun with it.

Just look at this smokey green eye I made. It is the most difficult look I have tried so far but I am super proud of my first attempt. My blending is gradually getting better. You can also see how UNREAL the pigment is in this palette.

Please ignore the pizza face on the last photo. I was just having a play with the eyes... as you do.

I love this super cute warm half cut crease I did too. I love the gradiant effect. Perfect for Summer.

For £35 this palette is an actual steal... It is so versatile, has a fabulous colour range, great for beginners and the product doesn't fall out all over your face like a lot of cheaper eye shadows can.

So let me give you a quick tutorial that is perfect for hooded eyes. We are going to make a cut crease that creates a fabulous illusion. It is just like a contour for your eye.

There will be no filters on these photos.

So first of all we need to pick a transition shade that is a little darker than your skin tone. Blend this all over the crease and area above with a fluffy shadow brush. I used the shade 'Silk Creme'.

Then pick a slightly darker shade than the one you have just used. I have used 'Butter'. Do exactly the same thing - Blending this colour in the crease, above and around the eye socket area. You want to be able to see this when your eye is open.

Then take a smaller brush and we are going to go darker and start to create this fake crease. Go way above where your natural crease is and blend this in. I used the shade 'Buns' which is one of my favourites.

And then do exactly the same with a deeper shade. I then used 'Mocha'. Start to blend this in a little bit to the middle and also the inner eye to create a 'Halo effect'. Can you see how much higher my cut crease is now? It makes a huge difference.

Now the real fun begins. Grab a light liquid concealer and add it to a small crease brush. I find these work better than cream concealers personally for this. Dab it under where your new crease is and rest of the centre area. When you open your eyes we want to see the fake crease. Don't worry if this isn't perfect. We are going to go over it with some shadow and blend like a crazy person.

Now take a pretty shimmery colour like the shade 'Hustle' and add this over the concealer area and blend, blend, blend like a b*tch.

Now lets go back around this area with 'Buns' and then 'Mocha' to make this look POP a little more. Use a VERY light hand.

To finish - Take  'Butter' and 'Silk Creme' and blend these around the bottom lid to create a lovely smokey affect. Then do the same with 'Buns' and 'Mocha', add some lashes, pop a shade like 'Beam' in the inner corner of your eyes and under the brow bone to high-light... and the look is complete!

I would love to know what you think of this look and how you found recreating it... Feel free to add any comments below.

So that is all from me today. I have so many good posts lined up. Keep your peepers peeled.

IT FEELS GOOD TO BE BACK BABY.
